Daria is an enthusiastic advocate for e-government, youth empowerment, e-skills and team sports. In 2009 she founded Danube.EDU NGO in her hometown, starting from the idea that "Youth is the strategic resource of a society" and that young people should be empowered. Since then, she has been a permanent advocate for this cause.
Daria holds academic qualifications (B.A. & M.A.) in public policy from the University of Bucharest, Romania. In 2016 she followed the Executive Program in Social Entrepreneurship (EPSE) at Stanford Graduate School of Business through its Centre for Social Innovation. Her background includes working with NGOs, institutions and businesses at local, regional and European level on youth, educational policies, social entrepreneurship and community development initiatives. During the past few years, she has been working and learning from skilled professionals at ENISA (EU's cyber security agency), at IER & ANPCDEFP public administrations, at Chelgate consultancy and at CTR & EYF volunteering.
Currently, in her professional capacity, she is assigned to the DIGIT team at the European Commission in Brussels, developing cyber security awareness and education programmes.
