Tudor Maxim is a graduate law student. Before graduating, in 2005, he founded Elevate, a niche start-up company in the advertising field (advertising in elevators). In 2006, Tudor followed his passion for tourism and founded another company called “Dor de Bucovina”, a hostel in the historical area of Bucovina, Romania.
As a result of his work, he was awarded the title Volunteer of the year in 2004 and Most Creative Young Entrepreneur in 2006 by the Leaders Foundation, as well as the Creative Young Entrepreneur of the Year in 2007 by the Junior Chamber International (JCI) Romania. In 2008 he received the title of Best Young Entrepreneur of the Year from Junior Achievement Romania.
In 2007 and 2008, he founded two online portals and in 2009 he co-founded an online marketing agency. In 2012, he returned to the area of tourism by opening another hostel in Bucharest called Peaches, which was awarded the Trip Advisor winner prize.
In 2013, Tudor opened three other hostels, two more in Bucharest (Floreasca and Little Bucharest) and one at the seaside (Pura Vida). During the same season, he also built a beach bar business Pura Vida and started a touring agency, Young Tours. In 2015, he inaugurated a new restaurant, a seaside beach bar and a brand new hostel with a sky bar in the old town of Bucharest. All the tourism-related activities are part of the Pura Vida network. In the same year, Tudor was appointed Chapter Leader and Founder of Travel Massive, the fastest growing international community of tourism professionals.
In the autumn of 2015, Pura Vida developed a hub for co-working space and a tea house.
