Zoltán-Cristian Bereczki is the director of NESsT-Romania, a nonprofit organization that supports sustainable social enterprise growth in various sectors. Since 2009, Zoltán has managed NESsT-Romania’s extensive portfolio of enterprises—including both nonprofits and small businesses—in all stages, from start-up to scaling. He has also established partnerships between social entrepreneurs and impact investors―including corporations, foundations, and government agencies―to collaboratively build capacity for lasting social improvements in marginalized communities across Romania. Prior to joining NESsT, Zoltán managed high-impact economic empowerment and democratization projects for civil society organizations in Hungary, Republic of Moldova, Romania, Serbia, and Ukraine. He has a bachelor’s degree in economic engineering and a master’s in business intelligence.Throughout his career, Zoltán has championed the social business movement. He believes that responsible businesses, especially social enterprises, with the right mix of hands-on entrepreneurship, professionalism, and commitment have the power to change societies and improve lives.
