A passionate social scientist, over the last 15 years, Vlad has developed his competencies as communicator, researcher, consultant and community builder in Romania and abroad. Between 2012 and 2017 Vlad worked with the Varieties of Democracy Institute in Sweden, contributing to the creation of the largest publicly available dataset of democracy indicators, and worked as a consultant for the International Institute for Democracy and Electoral Assistance in Stockholm. Upon returning to Romania in 2017, he devoted his time to social impact projects working as a debate trainer, political consultant, fundraiser and community organizer. Between 2019 and 2021 he held various roles in the Romanian government, including counselor to the Minister of Labour, counselor in the Chancellery of the Prime Minister, and chief of staff to a Secretary of State in the Ministry of the Economy. Currently, Vlad is the president of Mișcăm Vâlcea – a grassroots organization and is a Senior Strategy Consultant at Maldon&Wat.
