Module 3 of the Aspen Young Leaders Program 2019, the flagship leadership program of the Aspen Institute Romania, took place between September 23 and September 29, 2019, near Pitești, Argeș County.

Whereas Modules 1 and 2 of the Young Leaders Program explore the good society and our inner journeys, clarifying the values by which we live and lead, Module 3 moves explicitly from thought to action by providing analytical and practical tools for leading change (in communities of all kinds, including organizations).

The 3rd Module of the Young Leaders Program aims at offering the participants a broader understanding of their role as leaders of society and a higher awareness of societal problems and possible ways to create change through various tools.

It does that through a series of debates on specific topics, moderated by participants themselves and through a hands-on exercise in a community in Romania (this year, the village of Merișani, in Argeș County).

During this module, the participants attended sessions designed to help them define a prototype community service project idea and bring it closer to the implementation stage. They also had the opportunity to share their project ideas with YLP fellows (graduates of the YLP) and receive feedback, because some of them were our guests at the end of Module 3.

Our gratitude goes to everyone who contributed to building and implementing this module: facilitators Mihaela Mohorea (PACT Foundation) and Mădălina Neagu (Aspen Fellow); moderator Mădălina Mocan (Aspen Fellow) and the wonderful group of young leaders.
