
Corina-Ionela Dumitrescu

She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from the Faculty of Economics, Bucharest University of Economic Studies, followed by a Master’s Degree in Economic Development and Human Condition, and a PhD in Economics with a thesis titled The Ecological Side of Sustainable Development, also from the Faculty of Economics, Bucharest University of Economic Studies. Additionally, she completed a Master’s program in Educational Management at the “Aurel Vlaicu” University of Arad.
Currently, she serves as the Dean of the Faculty of Entrepreneurship, Business Engineering, and Management (FAIMA) at the University POLITEHNICA of Bucharest. She is also the coordinator of the Master’s Programme in European Economic Policies at the same university, where she is a tenured lecturer in Micro and Macro Economics, Sustainable Development Policies, and Corporate Social Responsibility.
Between 2016 and 2017, she served as the director of the Quality of Life Evaluation within the University Campus and the Ways to Improve It project at the University POLITEHNICA of Bucharest, which aimed to demonstrate that improving the quality of life for both students and faculty is a crucial step toward creating a sustainable university.
Corina has dedicated considerable energy and passion to a project focused on entrepreneurship workshops for children (ages 7–14) at the University POLITEHNICA of Bucharest, in collaboration with the NGO UniCo (University of Children / Universitatea Copiilor). She has conducted workshops on topics such as My First Business Plan, Family Budgets, Public Speaking is Easy, Organization and Time Management, and How Does a Successful Entrepreneur Communicate?
