
Robert Santa

Formal-looking picture aside, Robert is an open, chatty, and collaborative individual. Originally from Timisoara, his fields of interest include public policy, economics, history, education and demographics. He is a graduate of the West University of Timisoara and the University College of London and is currently finishing his doctoral studies at SNSPA Bucharest, with a focus on migration. An avid learner, he has taken part in Erasmus mobilities in Spain and Australia.
Robert has been active in the student movement, being chair of the Timisoara University Students’ Union in 2008-2009 and member of the academic and executive structures of the European Students’ Union from 2009 to 2011. Professionally, he was responsible for university relations at Adecco from 2011 to 2013 and has worked on several public-policy development projects after that. Since 2016, Robert has worked at the Presidential Administration, being an adviser in the Education and Research Department. As part of his independent research activity, he has published several articles and public policy reports in Romanian, English and German on education and demographics related topics.
