Claudia Benchescu is a Romanian Aspen Fellow 2015 of the Young Leaders Program. She is an active politician, two times running for the European Parliament. In the past she worked for the Romanian Senate and between 2020 and 2023 she was under secretary of state within the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Romania. Claudia currently serves as Member of the Chamber of Deputies in the Parliament of Romania.

She is interested in foreign policy, civil rights and sustainable environment. She has BA in Economy and a MA in Management-Marketing.
