Horea-Constantin Chirilă is a Romanian Paediatric Neurology doctor, deeply interested in healthcare and education, with a special focus on the paediatric population. He currently serves as a board member of the National Paediatric Neurology Society. In this capacity, he is working on significant projects, including extending Romania’s national newborn screening program, enhancing student and medical personnel education, and engaging with a broad range of stakeholders both in Romania and internationally.

Horea is educated at Carol Davila University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Bucharest. He is also pursuing a PhD in Medicine and building a career in teaching at the same university. Beyond his studies and teaching, he is also involved in the university’s administration, managing projects related to international relations.

Previously, Horea served as the president of the Romanian Multidisciplinary Society of Resident Doctors, playing a key role in creating access to medical education opportunities for junior doctors and raising awareness on public health matters. During his student years, he was active in the International Federation of Medical Students’ Associations and various scientific societies, taking on teaching and leadership roles, focusing on student representation and capacity building. In his spare time, Horea is studying music, managing to include this passion in his activity as a paediatric neurologist.
