Uliana Avtonomova is currently a Portfolio Manager at 1991.vc. She served as an Advisor at the Fund of the President of Ukraine for Education, Science, and Sports, where she focused on international cooperation. Previously, she worked as a COO in startups and led USAID-funded incubators in Kyiv and Kharkiv, developed VR/AR award-winning projects for corporates, and established an academy for immersive technologies in Kyiv.

She is an expert at the Ukrainian Startup Fund and was a Ukrainian Youth Delegate to the United Nations in 2016/2017. Uliana is an alumna of the Bohdan Hawrylyshyn Foundation’s ‘Young Generation Will Change Ukraine’ Programme and was a European Forum Alpbach scholar in 2018, and 2022.

Currently, she is a Curator at the Global Shapers Kyiv Hub and leads an invite-only community for Ukrainians in Tech in London, which has grown from 5 to over 300 professionals over the last two years.
Outside of her professional career, Uliana spent nine years in a dance school, performing in Sweden, Scotland, and across Ukraine. She holds a BA in Philosophy and an MA in Political Science. Uliana is currently based in London, where she is pursuing an MPA at the London School of Economics and Political Science.
