
Alexandra Coca
AYLP Fellow 2025
Alexandra is a judge at the Bucharest County Court, specializing in administrative and tax law. Previously, she spent over eight years as a judge at the Bucharest District 2 First Instance Court, where she held a three-year term mandate as an elected member of the court’s Leadership Board.
Selected for a one-year exchange program at the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg, she served as a fully operational legal professional within the Court, an experience that deepened her knowledge of human rights and international institutions. She is also an alumna of the Leaders for Justice program organized by the Konrad Adenauer Foundation.
Outside the courtroom, Alexandra is an avid reader and a passionate traveler, having explored over 60 countries across four continents so far, often as a solo backpacker. She is passionate about global governance, humanitarian work, legal education, and understanding the human side of law.
She believes that leadership is grounded in empathy, responsibility, and lived values. For her, true leaders inspire trust, act with integrity, and engage meaningfully with the communities they serve.
