Aspen Energy Leadership & Public Policies Seminar
The Aspen Institute Romania launches in 2025 the first edition of the Aspen Energy Leadership & Public Policies Seminar, developed under the umbrella of the Aspen Energy & Sustainability Program. The Seminar is part of the Institute’s longstanding effort to promote dialogue-driven, values-based leadership in addressing complex policy challenges in the energy and sustainability fields.
Under the guidance of the moderators, the Aspen Energy Leadership & Public Policies Seminar will challenge 20–25 participants, key stakeholders from the energy ecosystem, to explore, based on readings shared beforehand, contemporary critical issues facing the world. Participants will engage in an informal, constructive debate on topics of relevance to the Aspen Energy & Sustainability Program.
The discussions also focus on the interaction between the main public, private, academic, and non-governmental actors in the energy system. Dedicated to the Aspen Institute Romania’s energy and public policy community, the seminar uses the Aspen Method of creating a group as diverse as possible in terms of professional background (public, private, non-profit), gender, and political affiliation, bringing together individuals connected to or working in the broader energy and sustainability sectors.
The Aspen Energy Leadership & Public Policies Seminar provides a forum for leaders in the energy ecosystem to convene and explore contemporary issues through expert-moderated dialogue, facilitating the exchange of ideas and best practices. The seminar is a collaborative endeavour, where the participants are expected to contribute their understanding of and reflections on carefully selected texts, with the guidance of moderators who are experienced professionals in the field.
Participation to the Aspen Energy Leadership & Public Policies Seminar is by invitation only, and will be organized in a picturesque location, which invites to introspection and reflection, away from the noise of the big cities.
By joining the Aspen Energy Leadership & Public Policies Seminar developed by the Aspen Institute Romania, participants become part of a diverse fellows & alumni network of our Institute, which has grown to include more than 1700 individuals from across the public, private, non-profit, and academic sectors, in Romania and abroad.
The Aspen Energy Leadership & Public Policies Seminar is organized at the intersection between the Aspen Leadership Programs and the Aspen Public Policy Programs of the Aspen Institute Romania and is financed under the Aspen Energy & Sustainability Program.
