Alina graduated from “Alexandru Ioan Cuza” University of Iasi. In 2010, she defended her doctoral thesis titled “Discursive Strategies in Contemporary Romanian Journalism”. She has benefited from several scholarships and research and training internships, both domestically and abroad. She is one of the beneficiaries of the “N. Titulescu” scholarship program, conducted by the Romanian Government from 2005 to 2007, aimed at training specialists in areas of interest to the European Union. She completed a research internship at the European Institute of the University of Geneva, Switzerland.

Between 2004 and 2014, she collaborated as a full-time teaching assistant/research assistant/associate professor with “Dunărea de Jos” University of Galati, “Alexandru Ioan Cuza” University of Iasi, “G. Enescu” University of Arts in Iasi, and “Petru Maior” University of Targu-Mures. Among other subjects, she has taught: Journalism and European Policies; Argumentation Techniques; Political Journalism; Environmental Journalism; International Relations; Information Collection Techniques; Mass Media and PR; Press Theory and Practice.

She coordinated or was part of the research team for several scientific projects. She participated as an invited expert in the working groups of the DOCIS project, implemented by ANC for drafting proposals necessary for creating the National Register of Qualifications in Higher Education (RNCIS) – specialization: communication and public relations. She has published several articles and specialized studies in scientific journals in Romania and abroad.

Since 2008, she has been combining scientific research activities with those specific to attracting and managing European funds within the EURONEST Intercommunication Development Association, where she holds the position of executive director. She has prepared funding applications and managed the implementation of projects with European funding amounting to 120 million lei, in the fields of social infrastructure (emergency medical care), business, social services, education, culture, etc.

Since 2012, her collaboration with the business environment has intensified, with the launch of the EURONEST IT&C HUB Innovative Regional Cluster and the approval of several projects aimed at increasing the competitiveness of the IT industry in the Region. She has experience in drafting Development Plans/Strategies, business plans, etc.

In addition to practical experience, she holds specialization certificates in Strategic Management, Public Procurement, Project Management, Innovation & Technology Transfer, etc. She is a member of AFJC (Association of Journalism and Communication Trainers), AROSS (Romanian Association of Semiotic Studies) and of the Regional Innovation Consortium of the North-East Regional Development Agency.
