Cătălin Radu, General Manager of Bristol Myers Squibb (BMS) Romania since 2019 and part of the Healthcare & Pharmaceutical Industry for the last 19 years, both in local and international markets.

Strongly believing that “Purpose is the engine at work” Cătălin is a future oriented leader, with a keen eye in spotting trends, defining strategies, and converting them into current and future opportunities.

His out of the box thinking, steering, and developing people, helped him and his teams, developed excellent results in the companies that he joined.

The career path took him to Schering AG in 2003 and Bayer in 2007, were he stayed 12 years, holding different roles in Finance, General Management, Regional Marketing and Business Operations. Catalin started his pharma career in Romania and then moved for international roles to Berlin, Germany, Kazakhstan and returned in 2018 to Romania.

Inspiring people and bringing valuable contribution to the company growth as managing Director in Kazakhstan and Central Asia (Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia), Catalin never gives up and is constantly looking for ways to improve patients’ lives and company business.

As a former oncology patient himself, Catalin understands firsthand the needs and struggles a patient is confronting in navigating the disease and the healthcare system. Within Bristol Myers Squibb Romania, his main objective is to support and grow a team of experts that partner with healthcare professional and other stakeholders in the Pharma Industry, contributing to creating a better life for the patients and caregivers.
