Matei Toader is Senior Director of IT at UiPath, the leader in Robotic Process Automation, where he’s focused on technology delivery and driving impactful change in high growth environments. Having relocating from London to Bucharest since 2021, he oversees the global internal systems that power UiPath and helps sales teams in engagement with Romania’s public sector institutions to promote automation of processes and adoption of emerging technologies in a responsible and sustainable way.

Since joining UiPath in 2017, Matei has led a cross functional team of architects, developers, and business consultants through a period of hypergrowth—scaling internal systems as the company grew from 250 to over 3,000 employees and earning a top spot on Deloitte’s Technology Fast 500. Before UiPath, Matei worked as a Technology and Management Consultant at Accenture in London, UK. There he delivered large scale technology implementations for major media organizations and designed process optimization initiatives for financial services institutions.

A 2021 Fellow of the Aspen Institute’s Young Leaders Programme and a participant in the 2023 Aspen Young European Leaders seminar, Matei is passionate about startups, emerging technologies, and leveraging AI in an ethical fashion to enhance public sector services and citizens’ lives. He remains committed to strengthening Romania’s sustainable growth in technology innovation and helping homegrown startups compete on the global stage.
