Mihaela Lupu started her professional journey in the Group in August 1998, in HVB Bank Romania S.A., as Financial Analyst, becoming Coordinator of the Controlling Department in 2004. In 2007, she was promoted to Head of Controlling Department in UniCredit Țiriac Bank, and, in 2010, to Director of Planning and Control. The experience gained in these management positions and her leadership qualities recommended her for appointment as CFO of UniCredit Bank in 2013 and member of the Management Board. Since 2017, Mihaela Lupu has taken on a new challenge within the Group, successively assuming the position of Head of Group Planning, Capital Management & Strategic ALM. From 2021 until October 2023, she had the role of CFO Central and Eastern Europe (CE&EE), being appointed as CEO of UniCredit Bank Romania on 16th of October 2023.

 

Mihaela Lupu holds a degree in economics from the Academy of Economic Sciences in Bucharest. She is also a Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS).
