Sabina has worked in the Romanian public administration since 2005, after graduating the Young Professional Scheme – a national program for public managers (the first year of the program at Ecole Nationale d’Administration, Paris and the second one at the National Institute of Administration, Bucharest).

She started to work initially within the Ministry of Justice, mostly on horizontal issues related to organisation, human resources, redesigning of the working procedures or public policies. In 2008, she started to work within the Romanian Tax Administration and to this day she has 10 years of management experience at senior level. Currently, Sabina is Director General for International.

After joining the Romanian Tax Administration, Sabina had a very dynamic, active and diverse professional experience, the most important one in International, strategic planning and project management. For over 10 years, she is responsible for managing the Agency’s portfolio of projects from programming phase to implementation, monitoring and evaluation, dealing often with people, budgets, time and financial constraint and pressure to deliver feasible and practical results. She has been part of teams establishing new functions (mostly in front of new subjects), in some of the projects she acted as a project manager or head of component (for larger projects) or was part of a different steering committee. In regard to the external side, she is always in contact with the external partners, working with the international financial institutions in the tax administration field (IMF/WB/EC/IOTA), on EU affairs or with other European tax administration.

Sabina graduated Law School at University of Iasi and also holds a Master Degree in European Studies, at the same university.

Sabina is a fellow of the third edition of the Aspen Public Service Leadership Program, Autumn Cohort 2021-2022.
