Adrian Ciurtin has 20 years of legal experience and founded CIURTIN & Associates Law Office 17 years ago, proving strong professional and entrepreneurial skills. Previously, he held a Middle Management position within Raiffeisen financial group.

Adrian was entrusted with several key positions in the energy sector and wider in public policies global thinktanks: legal director of the Romanian Energy Center (CRE) and COGEN Romania, board member of the Romanian Association for Energy Efficiency and lawyer of the Aspen Institute. He has been contributing to inter-governmental programs with major cross border relevance: Romania Gateway, the Centre for Dialogue and Cooperation on Energy Projects” within the 16+1 Program (China + 16 countries from CEE).

Adrian coordinates high-level transactions in specific areas, in particular on Finance, Construction, Medical & Pharma, Energy and ITC.

He is also a liquidator and a member of the National Union of Insolvency Practitioners in Romania.
Adrian believes in the success of communication between the private and the public sectors and has participated in various working committees that have drafted and finalized texts of important laws (district heating law, energy and natural gas law, energy efficiency law, cogeneration bonus scheme, the air accident investigation ordinance, the fiscal crimes directive, etc.)

For his management and assistance in Energy Efficiency Projects amounting to more than 250Mio USD implemented in Asia, Europe, Africa, CIS countries in steel plants, Adrian received the TIMES Award for Legal Innovation.

He has been contributing for several years to large projects of the local public authorities for the modernization of public services such as district heating, natural gas distribution, etc.

Adrian is an excellent communicator, passionate about complex negotiations. In recent years, he has been a speaker at many top conferences – for example at the International Conference on Renewable Energy in Milan, Bucharest Forum by Aspen and organizes top-notch events, recently the “Cogeneration forum with Cogen Europe” (May 2019) and “Romania Blockchain Summit” (June 2019). He has been a frequent trainer in high profile workshops.

Dedicated to humanitarian causes, Adrian constantly carries out pro-bono activities in the medical field through permanent support for specialties such as pneumology, psycho-medical recovery, etc.
