Mihai Danila is leading the event driven, stressed and distressed investments at a $100bn fund. Before his current role, Mihai was a Vice President with BlackRock, the largest asset manager in the world ($10.0 trillion), focusing on Event Driven and Special Situation investments, in their London team. Prior to BlackRock, Mihai was an Executive Director with Goldman Sachs, covering multi-billion transactions across Europe and Middle East. Prior to Goldman, Mihai worked for Morgan Stanley in their London office in the M&A team.
Mihai has an M.B.A. degree from INSEAD (France / Singapore) where he was president of multiple societies and kept a blog in Financial Times. Mihai is a graduate of the National Defence College. He is a Fellow of the Aspen Institute’s Young Leader Program, a Young Leader of Milken Institute, a Marshall Memorial Fellow of the German Marshall Fund of the United States and a European Young Leader.
Mihai is passionate about politics and giving back to society through active volunteering and mentoring in several global think tanks. He is also a national contest laureate at piano, math and business ethics. In his spare time, he enjoys traveling with his family across the globe (60 countries so far)
