Nick joined the Spirit of America team in January 2018 and began developing and managing projects throughout Europe.
Prior to joining the Spirit of America team, Nick served on active duty with the US Army for more than 8 years. He finishing his active duty time with the 4th PYSOP Group (Airborne), headquartered at Fort Bragg, NC.
As a PYSOP officer, Nick worked with Special Operations Command Europe (SOCEUR), and led the first U.S. team to establish direct relationships with allied active, reserve, and special operations PSYOP units in Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, and Poland as part of Operation Atlantic Resolve. Before that, he served as a detachment commander, attached to Special Operations Command Central (SOCCENT), and worked in Qatar, Kuwait, and Iraq providing PSYOP support to U.S. and allied commanders, developing messaging strategies and products to counter Islamic State of Syria and the Levant (ISIL) influence.
Nick was commissioned as an Armor officer in 2009. He served in the 11th Armored Cavalry Regiment as a tank troop executive officer, Regimental adjutant and public affairs officer, and anti-tank infantry platoon leader.
Before joining the Army, Nick earned his bachelor’s degree with honors from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor with a focus in Russian and Eastern European studies and political science. Nick has traveled and worked extensively in Central and Eastern Europe, Russia, and the former Soviet Union.
