With over 15 years of experience in the insurance and private pensions market, Cosmin is a leader in the field of Operations, Customer Service, and Actuarial science. He has led the Service and Operations team at MetLife Romania, overseeing a staff of 100 colleagues and a customer base of more than 3 million.

In his previous roles, Cosmin was responsible for product development, pricing, and customer centricity for Metropolitan Life Romania and Ukraine, covering individual, employee benefits, direct to consumer, and credit life segments. He has a strong understanding and analysis of the insurance and pension businesses, as well as a comprehensive mix of actuarial, risk, product, investment, and financial reporting skills. He is a self-motivated and results-oriented professional, with a firm belief in value-based leadership and a passion for delivering excellent customer experience.

He is one of those unusual cases of accountants turning actuaries, having a MSc degree in Accounting and Audit, but continuing studies at the UK Institute and Faculty of Actuaries, where he passed all technical level exams.

While Cosmin is often recognized as passionate about his job and extremely disciplined, he doesn’t like to take himself too seriously. Life is about living and we often fail to remember this while trying to make everything perfect, forgetting that mistakes and changes to plans are always going to happen. He likes to take action, to try new things and to make the best of every opportunity, to keep moving forward. Consequently, he really likes people that take action, that tell you what you could do, but also what they’ve done instead.

Outside work, he is passionate about music, photography, health and sports.
