
Ioana Tomuș

Ioana Tomuș is 36 years old, has a bachelor and master’s degree in political science, from the National School of Political Science in Bucharest. She is currently the Public Affairs and Communications Manager in AstraZeneca Romania, where she started working in 2019.
Ioana has also worked with ARPIM (local pharma industry association) to develop sustainable relationships with patient organizations and medical societies, holding an extensive experience of more than 10 years in public policy management, having had the chance to work in different professional contexts: non-governmental organizations in the field of socio-medical services, in youth organizations, and also in public institutions with a representative role in the field of local development programs, at the Bucharest Municipality level. Her work has been complemented by the UNICEF Romania and UNICEF Republic of Moldova consultations on the development of health care packages for adolescents and institutional development approaches for public actors relevant to UNICEF programs.
Ioana joined AstraZeneca Romania team in 2019 as Alliance and Advocacy Manager, partnering with relevant patients’ organizations and advocacy platforms to deliver on our strategic objective. In 2020 she joined the cardio-renal-metabolic division as Patient Experience Manager where she led extensive disease awareness campaigns and patients support programs.
