Adriana Stara was appointed General Manager of AbbVie Romania starting spring 2022.

Adriana Stara began her career in sales and performed various sales and marketing roles with growing responsibility, including international commercial roles up to multiple general manager positions in renowned companies with operations across several countries and cultures. Throughout her career, her name has been linked to leadership roles in other pharmaceutical companies, such as Serono, AstraZeneca or Medtronic. Adriana joined AbbVie in the context of Allergan acquisition and prior to the role in AbbVie Romania she was General Manager of Allergan Aesthetics for Central Europe and Baltics region.

As educational background, Adriana studied organic chemistry in her hometown of Bratislava, then completed her pharmaceutical studies in France at the University of Aix-Marseille. She also holds an MBA from the Free University in Brussels.

Adriana Stara is actively involved in projects within the pharma industry and holds the position of Secretary General of Association Local Working American Group (LAWG).
