Mustafa Tiftikcioğlu took over the mandate of the CEO of Garanti BBVA Romania in 2021. His previous position has been Head of Wholesale Risk at TGB, in charge with managing the wholesale credit risk framework, the wholesale portfolio quality and performance, and assessing risk strategies.

He has extensive experience in Corporate and Commercial Credit Risk Management and Project, Acquisition, and Structured Finance. He joined Garanti BBVA Turkey more than 20 years ago and has held several management positions within the organization. Prior to his banking career he has held positions in Financial Planning, Treasury Management, Corporate Finance and Investment Banking.

Mr. Tiftikcioğlu has a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering from Bogazici University, Faculty of Engineering, Turkey. He also holds a master’s degree in industrial engineering, majoring in Economic Decision Analysis from Georgia Institute of Technology, School of Industrial and System Engineering, USA.
