Adrian’s field of interest in the academic years was focused on comparative analysis of the political life between post-communist Romania and Hungary: political values, party systems and the political subculture of the Hungarian community in Transylvania, the latter as an interference of the two political agendas.

As an applied public policy, he worked in the sphere of local civil society as a volunteer, then as president of the Pro Democracy Association of Oradea, having a mandate as vice-president at national level. His activity focused on the following types of projects: election observation fairness, participatory budgeting, local decision-making initiatives in the field of youth and ecology, or permanent dialogue with county lawmakers and NGOs in Bihor.

Currently, he works as an adviser to the President of the Bihor County Council, one of the tasks being to develop and strengthen partnerships with NGOs. He is also responsible for major public policy initiatives such as the Via Carpatia Trans-national Highway and the development of the gas system in the county and ongoing communication with the Transgaz national company. He also holds the status of spokesperson of the institution.

From late June 2019, he also served as interim general manager at the Bihor Industrial Parks Ltd, a public company focused on investments.

Adrian is a fellow of the second edition of the Aspen Public Service Leadership Program, organized between 2019 and 2020.
