He started his professional activity as an economist in the private sector, where he worked for two years. Since 2003 he has been employed in the Court of Accounts of Romania, carrying out over time numerous audit missions in different fields of activity.

His daily activity was guided by a set of clear principles, such as initiative, perseverance, honesty, discipline, responsibility, order and coordination, thus being involved in numerous large-scale projects carried out under the auspices of the Court of Accounts. Starting with the year 2018. He managed to convey to the colleagues within the Court of Accounts of Romania everything he learned from his distinguished professors, as well as from the accumulated professional experience, from the position of trainer.

In his free time he likes to socialize with the people around him, to know multiple human typologies, to travel and photographically capture unique places/ frames and not least to read, being a lover of classical literature. He likes team sports but also individual sports, loves to go to the theater but also opera, loves classical music. He is passionate about cooking, trying every time to combine tastes and flavors. Participate in volunteer activities whenever he has the opportunity, doing it with passion and dedication.

Mr. Costel Tănase is a fellow of the second edition of the Aspen Public Service Leadership Program, organized between 2019 and 2020.
