
Istvan Barna Jakab

Jakab István Barna was born in Sfantu Gheorghe, Covasna County, Romania. He earned his B. A. and M. Sc. at Politehnica University of Bucharest in Air Transport Engineering. Currently he is a Ph. D. student at the same university.
He is co-author of the scientific paper entitled „Reconstructing the Malaysian 370 Flight Trajectory by Optimal Search ” which was the best paper published during 2016 in The Jurnal of Navigation and for which he received the Michael Richey Medal presented by HRH Prince Philip Duke of Edinburgh.
He was project manager for the implementation of Brasov International Airport.
Currently he is Vice President of Covasna County, responsible for the management of important investments.
He is a fellow of the third edition of the Aspen Public Service Leadership Program, Spring Cohort 2021.
