Claudia Gherman is the Digital Transformation Lead at the Aerospace, Security and Defence Industries Association of Europe (ASD). With more than a decade of experience in European public affairs in Brussels, she works at the intersection of digital policy, defence and security.

At ASD, Claudia built the organisation’s digital transformation agenda from the ground up. In her role, she’s driving initiatives that shape Europe’s digital ecosystem in the defence and security sector, with a strong focus on emerging technologies and cyber defence.

Before joining ASD, Claudia established and led the digital defence workstream at DIGITALEUROPE, advancing industry positions on critical digital and security issues.

Beyond her professional career, Claudia is also engaged in public life, having run as a candidate for the Romanian Parliament in 2024. She is a graduate of the Aspen Young Leaders Program (2023).

Claudia holds a BA in Political Science and an MA in International Relations from the University of Bucharest, and studied at the École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales in Paris as an Erasmus scholar.
