Andrei BURLACU is a Professor at the “Gheorghe Asachi” Technical University of Iași, Faculty of Civil Engineering and Building Services, Department of Building Services Engineering.

Currently, he is the Vice Dean of the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Building Services, responsible for the Research Activity and International Relations – ERASMUS.

He obtained the Habilitation Degree in Civil Engineering and Building Services domain, at the “Gheorghe Asachi” Technical University of Iași in 2018 with the Habilitation Thesis “CONTRIBUTIONS ON USING HEAT PIPES FOR IMPROVING THE ENERGY PERFORMANCE OF BUILDINGS AND ASSOCIATED BUILDING SERVICES”.

His teaching activity is focused on the following subjects: Heating systems, Heat transfer, Solar engineering, Passive systems for buildings, Applied informatics.

The research activity is focused on developing innovative hybrid modular solar systems for improving the energy performance of buildings.
