
Alyssa McIntyre

Alyssa McIntyre is a Program Officer in the Digital Program at the Aspen Institute Germany. Her work focuses on digital policy and the societal and community impacts of digitalisation. She is currently involved in projects examining the security implications of artificial intelligence, the spread of disinformation on social media, and the influence of content creators and digital influencers.
Previously, Alyssa’s work centered on equitable digitalisation, particularly how European “smart” cities address digital inclusion for people with disabilities. Before transitioning into policy, she worked in the disability services sector in Melbourne, Australia, where she advocated for and supported individuals and families from culturally and linguistically diverse communities.
Alyssa holds a B.A. from the University of Melbourne and an M.A. from the Willy Brandt School of Public Policy at the University of Erfurt. Originally from Australia, she currently resides in Berlin and has been living in Germany for two and a half years.
