Dr David Webster is the Founder of UK/Romania Business – an organisation dedicated to building bilateral and regional commercial opportunities in technology, defence, energy/infrastructure and financial services – and Co-founder and Managing Partner of Global Tech Connect, the alliance of UK-based international startup programmes. 

In November he will publish a new report “Building better UK/Romania defence industry partnerships: opportunities in the new geopolitics” alongside Global Tech Connect’s next programme supporting dual-use startups scale to the UK. The report will be launched in the Palace of Westminster as part of a conference intended to bring together defencetech and dual-use hubs from around Europe to encourage stronger links across the region and help kickstart defencetech ecosystems in places where they are still in their infancy.

A government affairs professional by background, he first visited Romania in 1999. His other roles include Advisor to the Foundation for Jewish Heritage and Secretariat to the All-Party Parliamentary Group for Romania.
