Dorin Pirpiliu is the Chief Financial and Accounting Officer at the Investment and Development Bank of Romania, with over 15 years of experience in the financial-banking sector. He has solid expertise in financial management, data governance, reporting under international standards (IFRS), and the implementation of complex projects.

Previously, he held leadership positions in institutions such as OTP Bank, UniCredit Bank, and BRD Groupe Société Générale, where he coordinated large teams and was responsible for financial reporting, taxation, optimization strategies, and the implementation of major regulations. As Chief Data Officer at OTP Bank, he oversaw the development and implementation of the data strategy and the integration of artificial intelligence and machine-learning tools into decision-making processes.

His experience includes large-scale projects such as the implementation of core banking systems and coordinating the finance team during the merger process between Banca Transilvania and Volksbank Romania. He was an active member and vice-president of the Accounting Commission of the Romanian Banking Association and of the working groups within the Ministry of Finance.
