
Dan Tincu

Dan Tincu is a finance executive with over 25 years of international experience in business strategy, M&A, FP&A, risk management, and treasury. He has held senior roles in multinational corporations including Philip Morris, LeasePlan, UPC, and WNS Global Services, and is currently Group CFO of FAN Courier, a leading family-owned business. Dan has led M&A transactions, cross-border acquisitions, and greenfield investments across Central and Eastern Europe, with expertise in strategic finance, business valuation, IFRS reporting, and consolidations. He champions digital transformation, ERP and RPA initiatives. Committed to people development he has built high-performing finance teams while also tutoring various finance classes (Finance Modeling, IFRS, ACCA and CFA programs) at BPP Romania.
Dan is a CFA Charterholder and ACCA-qualified professional, with additional certifications in Investor Relations (from the UK Society) and ESG, including the CFA Institute Certificate in Sustainable Investing and Level II ESG credentials from the International Association for Sustainable Economy. His academic background includes MA in Board Practice and Directorship from Henley Business School, Seth Godin’s altMBA program, a Master’s degree in Macroeconomics, and a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Banking, and Stock Exchange from Bucharest Academy of Economic Studies.
On a personal note, Dan is an avid investor, trading options for more than he can remember, a passionate reader (having 5,000+ books in his personal library), loves a good coffee (together with his friends opened the most beautiful coffee location in Bucharest). Married, he has three kids, enjoys ice cream, a real Scorpio, hates sleep and tomatoes.
