Dragoș Pîslaru (b. 1976) is an economist by profession. He holds a PhD in Economics from the National Institute for Economic Research of the Romanian Academy, a Master’s degree in International Relations from the London School of Economics, and a Bachelor’s degree in World Economy from the Bucharest University of Economic Studies.

He has worked in both the private and public sectors.

He was an entrepreneur and consultant for many years, later serving as Economic Advisor to the Prime Minister’s Chancellery (2015–2016), Minister of Labor, Family, Social Protection and the Elderly (2016–2017), and subsequently as Member of the European Parliament and Chair of the Committee on Employment and Social Affairs (2019–2024).

On June 23, 2025, he was sworn in as Minister of Investments and European Projects in the government led by Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan.
