The Dialogue is taking place under the aegis of Aspen’s Technology & Society Program, which provides a platform for debate and a dedicated program community composed of leaders from a variety of backgrounds interested in subjects covering technological developments and their impact on society.

The occasion for this Dialogue is the visit to Romania of Peter Liu, Chairman of WI Harper Group and a renowned venture capitalist who has invested in hundreds of rising tech companies based in the United States and Asia, and He Chenguang, Executive Director of the China Robotics Sports Working Committee as well as Director of Bank of Asia(BVI), Eurasia Continental Fintech(Kazakhstan), BOA financial group and HKVB. Peter Liu and He Chenguang will engage in a conversation with Radu Georgescu, one of the most successful Romanian entrepreneurs and investors and owner of GECAD Ventures.

The context for this conversation is the accelerating disruption caused by technological innovations, which has a powerful impact on citizens and society, presenting both great opportunities and challenges to policy-makers and businesses. The discussion also aims to explore the rise of Asia as a source of technological innovations while looking into possible financing solutions to boost start-ups in Europe, ensuring that our continent does not lag behind the US and Asia.
