Aspen Executive Seminar Moldova
For more than 75 years, since it was launched by the Aspen Institute US in the USA, the Aspen Seminar on leadership, values, and the good society has challenged leaders across all sectors to think more deeply and critically about what it means to build a good society. Building on this long-standing tradition, the the second edition of the Aspen Executive Seminar Moldova will take place on September 23 – 26, 2026, in a picturesque location close to Chișinău.
Drawing on 20 years of Aspen Institute Romania’s experience in organizing leadership programs, the Aspen Executive Seminar introduces senior leaders from the Republic of Moldova and beyond to the 75-year old Aspen Method, a proven, text-based dialogue format that provides a neutral space to reflect on timeless values, explore diverse perspectives, and cultivate a deeper understanding of the human condition and leadership in a complex world.
Participants emerge from the Aspen Executive Seminar personally renewed, professionally re-focused, and better prepared to lead with integrity and purpose in the face of today’s challenges.
The Aspen Executive Seminar starts where traditional leadership programs leave off! Through the curated collection of readings, a group of around 20 senior leaders (top executives, entrepreneurs, public officials, academics, and civil society representatives) are invited to explore the ideas of the world’s greatest thinkers, from antiquity to today. The themes discussed: liberty, equality, ethics, responsibility, leadership, are highly relevant for modern, sustainable, values-based leadership in any field.
Socratically debating a series of powerful texts, from Plato and Aristotle to Martin Luther King Jr. and Václav Havel, and guided by experienced moderators from Romania and the United States, participants are challenged to reflect on how enduring values shape both their personal decisions and our society at large.
The Aspen Executive Seminar Moldova adds a new chapter to Aspen Institute Romania’s growing network of values-based leaders. More than 380 participants have taken part in the Aspen Seminar for Leaders since its launch in Romania, becoming part of a larger community of over 2000 Fellows and Alumni from more than 40 countries.
