As Aspen Institute Romania approaches its 20th anniversary in 2026, the Aspen Strategic Retreat: Defining a Unique Role and Posture in a Transforming World serves as a milestone moment to reflect on the Institute’s evolving mission and future direction.

This exclusive, closed-door gathering will bring together Members, Fellows, and Alumni of the Aspen community for a day of high-level dialogue and collaborative reflection. At a time when democracy is increasingly challenged by disinformation, polarization, and weakened institutional trust—accelerated by technological disruption and regional insecurity—the need for principled and visionary leadership is more urgent than ever.

Organized in collaboration with Kearney, the retreat will feature strategic discussions and interactive working sessions aimed at generating fresh thinking and actionable ideas.
