Born in Timișoara, Mr. Adrian Mariciuc is the Deputy General Manager of the West Regional Development Agency (West RDA), where he coordinates the development and implementation of the new financing program for the West Region, the West Regional Operational Program 2021-2027.

A graduate in European Studies and International Relations, with a PhD in Economics, Mr. Adrian Mariciuc began his professional career at West RDA immediately after completing his university studies, specializing in regional planning.

He has coordinated the Office of Regional Policies, the Office of the Timișoara Growth Pole, and the Department of Regional Planning and Urban Development. For one year, he served as Secretary of State at the Ministry of European Funds, overseeing the preparation and negotiations with the European Commission for the 2021-2027 programming period related to cohesion policy.

With over 18 years of experience in the field of European funds and regional development, Mr. Adrian Mariciuc is a strong advocate for regionalization and decentralization. He is also a proponent of simplification and transparency, which are the guiding principles of the new funding program.
