As an experienced qualitative researcher and consultant, he has been involved in hundreds of projects in very diverse industries, from telecommunications to retail or finance, working with entrepreneurs as well as multinationals and enabling them to better perform by knowing their employees, customers and other institutional stakeholders, while sometimes winning awards in the process. He has been teaching various classes in anthropology and research methods since 2012, such as medical anthropology, anthropology of the body, applied anthropology or modern anthropological theory, both at the NSPSPA and at the University of Bucharest. You might also find him talking at conferences or writing in various publications and formats, from either an academic or business perspective, but always about people.

He holds a BA in Sociology from the NSPSPA and one in Political Science from the University of Bucharest, followed by an MA and PhD in Anthropology from the NSPSPA, in Bucharest. He is also a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu instructor and former combat sports color commentator.

Alexandru is Aspen Institute Romania Fellow since 2021.
