Alexandru is a PhD lecturer at the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration, West University of Timișoara. In addition to teaching and research projects on strategic management, entrepreneurship, innovation management and digital transformation topics, Alexandru has contributed to innovation ecosystems development in Romania by participating in various projects with relevant public and private stakeholders. Alexandru was part of teams that have developed digital transformation strategies for public administration, to digitize public services and cities. Alexandru was part of strategic innovation and transformation projects coordinated by consortia at European level. Since 2018 he is an expert of the European Commission in the field of innovation, digital technologies, ecosystems and entrepreneurship. At West University of Timișoara, Alexandru coordinated institutional projects which have developed the university’s entrepreneurial ecosystem and support programs for students’ entrepreneurial initiatives.

Alexandru Roja is a fellow of the first edition of the Aspen Public Service Leadership Program, organized between 2018 and 2019.
