As Head of Operations at Uber for the CEE region, Ana Maria Borlovan is leading a team of country managers and local teams across 9 different markets: Poland, Romania, Czech Republic, Ukraine, Estonia, Lithuania, Slovakia, Croatia and recently launched Hungary.
Having joined the company 9 years ago, or 1 year after Uber launched in Romania, she plays an incremental role in managing Uber’s relationship with both private partners, as well as governments and institutions across the entire region, in a time when the Romanian business environment is undergoing digital transformation, fostering economic growth and creating opportunities for businesses.
As part of a transformative and innovative company, Ana’s role within Uber is to support the community with catered solutions, in a fast paced world where the need for options has become increasingly important, if not vital, and in which technology is one of the most dynamic industries.
Before Uber, Ana held a position in operations in Google Ireland. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from ESADE in Barcelona, completed an exchange program at the University of St. Gallen in Switzerland and finalized the Oxford Executive Leadership programme from Said Business School, University of Oxford.
