Andi Cristea is a member of the Romanian Parliament, Chamber of Deputies, and an active member in the Committees for European and Foreign Affairs. He is part of the Romanian Delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe. 

Prior to that he has acquired both European and national central administration experience as a Member of the European Parliament (2014-2019 – President of the Delegation of the European Parliament for Republic of Moldova, Vice-president of the Committee on Foreign Affairs) and as Director General in the Romanian MFA and Romanian Senate.

He graduated from the Faculty of Political Science, National University of Political Studies and Public Administration, from Bucharest in 2004 and followed post-university courses on European Law. In 2013 he graduated from the courses of National Defense College.

Andi Cristea is a fellow of the third edition of the Aspen Public Service Leadership Program, Autumn Cohort 2021-2022.
