Andreea Rusu is the Executive Director of Centrul FILIA, a leading feminist NGO in Romania. With over 9 years of experience, she has spearheaded large-scale projects advocating for gender equality, preventing and combatting gender-based violence, ensuring access to reproductive health and rights, and increasing women’s political representation. Under her leadership, FILIA has grown significantly in reach and impact, collaborating with government bodies, international organizations, and other NGOs.

Andreea co-initiated Romania’s first informal parliamentary group for women’s rights, uniting 35 MPs from all political parties to advance gender equality in policymaking. She also co-leads a diplomatic coalition of 21 Embassies advocating for women’s rights in Romania.

A passionate advocate for women’s empowerment, Andreea has represented FILIA in over 100 national and international conferences, workshops and meetings, contributing to the visibility and growth of the organization.
