Andrei Crăciun

Andrei is a professional with more than 13 years’ experience in managing multidisciplinary teams and over 15 years in managing educational initiatives from local level to EU policy level, and a strong believer in building long – term opportunities for society as a receipt for a better tomorrow.
Passionate about digital transformation and the benefits brought by current and emerging technologies, he coordinates Digital Transformation and Data Analysis team of the West University of Timișoara. With diverse experiences, both in the non-governmental environment and in business processes, he is actively involved in the public and private environment in the West region, analyzing the entrepreneurial ecosystem as a whole on various niches with potential for smart specialization, from Automotive to Internet of Things, IT&C, Smart City, Smart Agriculture. In the past, he was an advisor to two ministers of education, managing the relationship with partners from the governmental and non-governmental public environment, but also from the business environment.
Holding a BA in Applied sciences with a mix of IT&C, Mechanics, Computer Science and Medical Engineering, his professional life is related to strategic coordination, organizational development and leadership both in not-for-profit and private business sector. Since 2018 he is also a member of the MIT Technology Review Global Panel, a community of business professionals. He is always looking forward to the opportunity to learn, discover and contribute in order to shape better leaders and visions for tomorrow.
Andrei is a fellow of the second edition of the Aspen Public Service Leadership Program, organized between 2019 and 2020.
