Anouk is currently leading the EMEA Government Affairs & Policy team for the pharmaceutical division of Johnson & Johnson – Janssen pharmaceuticals. She is a member of the Janssen Europe, Middle East and Africa Leadership Team. Anouk leads the Janssen External Affairs Council, providing insights and driving company positioning to respond to the external environment. Through alliance building she advocates for policies in Europe, Middle East and Africa to ensure optimal access to care for patients. Furthermore, she is involved in several platforms to support a strong climate of biopharmaceutical innovation. In her role, Anouk provides significant input into Company positions articulated at Industry Association level and with external stakeholders.

Prior to this she was European Lead within the Global Policy, Advocacy & Government affairs department at Bristol-Myers Squibb. During her 19-year career in pharmaceuticals, she has been involved in initiatives to speed up the European Marketing Authorization procedures at both the EU Commission and at the European Federation of the Pharmaceutical industry. She was co-author of a publication (“Regulation 2000”), making practical recommendations to streamline European marketing authorization procedures.

At BMS she has been driving several innovative partnership projects in Oncology, HCV, Atrial Fibrillation, Schizophrenia and other areas building alliances with patient advocates, medical thought leaders and policy makers. Throughout these projects, increasing speed of access to medicines for patients has been her main goal.

Anouk holds a Post-Graduate Master Degree from the University of Lille, France, specialized in EU pharmaceutical legislation and policy. She has a Master Degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the University of Brussels, Belgium.
