
Aura Stan Gomoescu

Aura Stan Gomoescu has an authentic motivation and drive to address social and educational inequity and is currently the Chief Program Officer of Teach for Romania.
Passionate about leadership development, with consistent professional background in non-profits, organizational strategy and communication, program management and human resources, Aura has started her journey towards career purpose and meaning by joining AIESEC in Romania, where she led the Craiova local committee of the largest student led global organization, managing a team of 40 volunteers and overseeing their development and impactful projects. While at Students Cultural House she supported youth non-profit organizations and coordinated a PR Club, and through Youth for European Society Craiova she designed and delivered several educational projects for children in underprivileged communities in Dolj county.
In 2014, Aura joined the team who founded Teach for Romania, working initially on program recruitment, setting-up staff HR processes, while in her current role is deeply engaged with developing the collective leadership needed to ensure all children in vulnerable communities have the education, support, and opportunity to shape a better future for themselves and all of us.
Aura holds a Master’s in organizational communication and Bachelor’s degree in languages. Since 2017 she has been an ICF certified coach, graduating from MindLearners Coaching Academy.
