Bogdan is an energy professional with a background in power systems. He studied power systems engineering at University Politehnica of Bucharest, in 2019 he finished his master’s degree with a research on distribution networks at Institut Politechnique de Grenoble and in 2023 he obtained his PhD degree in Electrical Engineering. Since 2017, he has been part of Transelectrica, Romania’s Transmission System Operator (TSO), where he leads various Research & Innovation projects.

He also serves as the Chairman of CIGRE Next Generation Network Romania, a technical organization that connects and supports young energy professionals. Since 2022, Bogdan has also been an Associate and Summer School Director at Energy Policy Group (EPG), an independent, Bucharest-based think tank specializing in energy and climate policy, market analysis, and energy strategy.

Bogdan was recognized as a Global Future Energy Leader by the World Energy Council, a prestigious program that identifies and supports outstanding young professionals shaping the future of energy. He was also featured in the prestigious Forbes 30 Under 30 list for his contributions to the energy sector.
