
Carmen Durnea
AYLP Fellow 2019
Carmen is an enthusiastic agilist and a strong believer in the value-based and transformative leadership of people, currently managing the general secretariat activity within UniCredit Bank. In this position, her main objective is to provide effective and highly qualitative support to the Board’s decisional process and set-up the right standards for a proper corporate governance.
During the last 8 years, she’s been coordinating different projects within the banking industry, all giving her the opportunity to gain a full understanding of the specific business and strategic processes, as well as the key values of leadership: communication, commitment and collaboration. She strongly believes in the power of teams, as they build revolutionary products, create success and foment change in the world. She is an encourager and a strong believer that genuinely all people are great, and it is up to us to discover that potential divinity in everybody.
Carmen graduated the University of Bucharest, Faculty of Foreign Languages, English-German, and is in final year of study for her Master’s Degree in Project Management at the National School of Political and Administrative Studies (SNSPA). She is also a Certified Scrum Master. One of her future side-plans is to become a teacher of Agile values and way of working.
She is passionate about sports that make her exceed her limits, all of them chosen for the good reasons: yoga for self-control and power of acceptance, trail running for clearing her mind, and skiing just because there’s nothing compared to floating in the air. In her free time, she also enjoys a lot cooking and creating culinary experiences for her beloved ones.
