Claudiu-Ionut POPIRLAN is presently a Lecturer at the Department of Computer Science of  University of Craiova – http://inf.ucv.ro/popirlan/. Since 2020, he has been the Vice-dean of the  Faculty of Sciences, University of Craiova (www.stiinte.ucv.ro). Since 2015, he has been the Head of  Laboratory of Formal Intelligence Integration in Analysis, Simulation, Development, Testing  and Certification of Computation Infrastructures in INCESA (www.incesa.ro).  

He graduated with a Bachelor’s in Computer Science from University of Craiova in 2003 and  went on to earn a Master’s from the same university in 2004. He was awarded Postdoctoral research in  Computer Science from University of Craiova in 2013 and Ph.D. in Computer Science from  University of Pitești, in 2009. He participated in more than 15 research projects and EU projects in the field of Computer Science, as project leader, IT expert, consultant and member of the research team. Claudiu-Ionut POPIRLAN was invited as the keynote speaker for over 20 international conferences. He is a member of many organizing committees of the national and international journals and conferences.
