Constantin is an optimistic individual and a catalyst for change, dedicated to making a positive impact in any initiative or community he is involved in. He is particularly driven by his love for people, which motivates him to contribute to the growth and development of various projects and communities. He follows the principles of transformational leadership, firmly believing that every effort counts towards building a more inclusive and resilient world.
Constantin has held several leadership positions throughout his career, where he has successfully implemented innovative ideas and created tangible positive change in various fields, including non-governmental organizations, public sectors, and entrepreneurship. With over a decade of volunteering experience, he is currently focused on developing the Association for Intercommunity Development of the Republic of Moldova. The organization is made up of young professionals who collaborate to address community challenges by pooling their expertise.
During 2015-18, Constantin served as Vice-President of Hincesti district, where he oversaw the economic sector and cross-border collaboration. He facilitated cross-border cooperation with local authorities from Romania, Poland, and France, established a tourism cluster, and developed a regional brand for local products – Produs de Hâncești. He also secured over 1.5 million Euros for rehabilitating medical and historical sites in the district through cross-border projects.
Driven by a passion for innovation and social economy, Constantin co-founded a hardware start-up aimed at improving mobility for people with disabilities. Together with his engineer brother and a group of friends, they are developing an innovative solution to simplify the process of adapting cars for people in wheelchairs.
Constantin holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics and International Affairs from Alexandru Ioan Cuza University in Iasi and Coimbra University in Portugal, as well as two master’s degrees in Risk Management in International Affairs and Regional Development.
Currently, Constantin is working as an Economic Inclusion Specialist at HIAS Europe’s Moldova office, which is part of the Ukrainian Response Mission. HIAS is one of the oldest non-profit organizations providing humanitarian aid and assistance to refugees and asylum seekers.
